1974 Norton 850 Commando- Staff Stuff with Mark Hoyer – Cycle World
I rode a 1971 750 Commando that looked just like this one with the gold lettering and striping. It was brand new, I was 14, and the owner said I could take it for a ride. I dropped it. He didn't kill me.
(The reason I dropped it was because the foot shifter and brake were reversed from what I was used to...crazy Brits!)

Best Adventure Motorcycle 2012: Triumph Tiger Explorer - Motorcycle USA
I'm not sure I agree, but then again, I've never ridden a Tiger. I would like to see one with the modern body work but with the older, "tiger" paint scheme.

1971 Velocette Thruxton motorcycle - Jay Leno's Garage
Hmmmm....
In 1971 I bought (well...mom & dad bought) a Kawasaki KE100 100-cc trail bike (see my motorcycle buying history here). This motorcycle, the Velocette Thruxton, would have been a better buy... :)
